An instant weave differs to a wig in that with a wig the cap/base of it covers the full head from the nape (back) right up to the hairline. The cap of an instant weave starts from the nape and covering the surrounding hairline area except the front, where it stops about an inch or so away from the front part of the hairline. This gives you the ability to cover the cap-base (weft), with your own hair at the front for a more natural look.
